The Nighthawks
Jukebox plays Jazz
The perfect song for romance
Worker wears white
Not a stain to be seen
Man of mystery
Mumbles over black coffee
Prince charming with the cigarette
Sits right next to me
But cigarette charming
Wears a ring matching mine
And I want to walk away
Run away
Far away
From the white worker
The mystery man
Cigarette charming
And myself

I wrote this piece about the painting, Nighthawk. An 1942 oil painting by Edward Hooper. It is considered his most fmaous work and the most recognizable painting in American art and this is my interpritation of it.
