Remember?
Tell me
Do you remember?
It was from a time
When our hair was loose
Our clothes were messy
And our faces were wet.
When we ran
Giggling
Into the street
Because we wanted
To be dangerous.
It's ok if you don't.
I wouldn't either
Except that this was the time
When I felt ok
When I didn't feel
I was decaying
Because the days weren't
Getting shorter
And my mind wasn't
Growing smaller and
You, oh you,
You were by my side
For what you said
Was forever.
But you fixed your hair
You cleaned your clothes
you dried your face and
Then the only misplaced thing
Was me.
