I don’t see the broken man
you think you are
I see a won war and battle scars
When I look at you
I don’t see the shame
hidden in your eyes
I see truth and forgotten lies
When I look at you
I don’t see you cheating
at your own game
I see the rules aren’t the same
When I look at you
I don’t see the man
you have shown
I see the man i’ve always known
