Change the Past
If every touch of yours was this electrifying,
If every hug of yours was this gentle,
And if every kiss of yours spread warmth through me,
Tell me I’m living in a world of ecstasy.
Tell me that you’ll be my forever because temporary is one step closer to a farewell,
But still, know that my heart and soul rests with you.
If our smiles were shared and our hearts were pure and bare,
If tears slid down our cheeks as that long night went by,
If our hands intertwined as the bitter moonlight would shine,
I’ll tell you that you are my night and day,
I’ll tell you that your eyes make me forget this time and this world,
Yet I’ll know that you lay so close yet so far away.
For now, I’ll keep faith that one day I’ll see you again as I come closer to these skies where you reside.
