I Want My Heart To Love Again

I hate the world above me,
though I can't stand
the world around me.
Enclosing me,
belittling me.
When you close those
eyes,
I won't tell you any
lies.
I'll fight for you, love.
Even though you
don't want me to.
When these tears
wash away
in the rain,
it was you
fighting
my demons away.
Will you let me
love you,
the way I want to.
