I Knew This Girl Once
She was young and innocent,
Playing with dolls and giving them pigtails to match her own.
Always laughing and smiling
With her friends on the playground.
She never thought of the negative in life--
If there was a small amount of good in a situation,
she would find it.
This girl never had a dull moment,
only because she never let herself have those dull moments.
She always had her head up,
Never looking down
on anyone, not even herself.
No matter what, the stars couldn’t contain her
because not even the sky was her limit.
I miss this girl.
