Places
“Is everything in its place except me?”
Searching, looking, wondering,
For where I’m supposed to be.
There are many different paths,
One leads one way,
One leads another,
Both have different results.
But is it really about the destination?
The path shapes the person.
The memories,
The struggles,
The conflicts,
The relationships,
The happiness,
All come from the journey.
Sometimes it seems the destination isn’t in sight,
And never will be,
But the destination is only part of the journey,
How you arrive is the most important.
So can anything actually have a “place?”
No place is final,
There are always new roads,
And new journeys.
But once one destination is in sight,
The road splits again,
Revealing a different path,
And you become even farther,
From where you think your “place” is.
