Favorite Quote:
"Truly there would be reason to go mad were it not for music."
- Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky

A never-ending battle against yourself
Your weapon of choice:
The thoughts of a wounded soul
Your defense:
The ones who love you oh so desperately,
the ones you just can't bring yourself to believe

The author's comments:

This poem is about never being able to trust that those who care for you truly do want what's best for you. If you've been hurt once, you are constanly weary that it will happen again. Many who are damaged cannot trust those who so dearly want them to be okay. The "battle" is between self-hating thoughts and the support of others; which words are true?
