The pen is mightier than the sword,
so modern day Vikings carry them at the ready.
We cut down our enemies with our words,
but they cut just as deep as swords.
They say I’m not a Viking because I haven’t slain my enemies.
They’re wrong.
There’s a deadly war going on inside my head everyday.
A battle between sanity and insanity.
Everyday that I open my eyes is a victory.
I have more war stories and battle scars than all the Vikings put together.
Somehow, I’m still not a warrior.
An icy wasteland called Greenland to throw them off.
“I’m fine” became my Greenland
Vikings were kings of their own Valhallas.
Dying with a sword in hand was like having the world in your hands.
Blades forged by bravery.
As a modern day Viking, my pen is my weapon and my skin my shield.
As a modern day Viking, I raid the world of ignorance.
I’ll die with my sword in my hand, and when I do bury me beneath the bow of the ship.
Light it like the sun lights the day.
Bury me a Viking.
