Senior Year
The days are getting longer.
My high school career is a goner.
May will be here soon.
But all I can think about is hunting coon.
The teachers still think we need to learn.
But my school books I just want to burn.
Being a senior, I am almost done.
Time to work and have fun.
Some teachers say I need to go to college.
But I already know most of the knowledge.
Farming is for me.
I just want to drive my John Deere.
Cannot wait to walk across the stage right.
Because my future looks bright.
