dance class
I walked though the large heavy door of the dance studio
my mom kissed me goodbye as my body shook
the door to the dressing room crashed when I let it drop
the sweat of the room came rushing toward me like a dog with food
the clickety clack of the tap shoes as they hit the floor
my stomach gets butterflies as the teacher tells the dancers to take the floor
