Have you ever donated to charity?
Have you ever done charity work?
I have, and I certainly bet most of you have also
But, you see my friends we have all been lied too

What if I told you when you gave 100 percent
Only 1 percent was given out
That's like if I gave you a snickers bar to give to someone else
And you just *snap* off a piece and only gave them a peanut instead

Not to say that you shouldn't do charity
But, Instead of committing money to a cause
Commit something more valuable instead, your time
Time is something no one can take away from you
It isn't an object that can be bartered, sold, stolen, rented or given

It is an invaluable commodity
And If you use it just right
You can make a real difference
Whether it be in your community, church, school or even the entire world

As they say, if you give a man a fish, he can eat for a day
Teach a man to fish, he can eat for a lifetime

Charity is akin to a ray of sun
The warmth of it kissing your skin
It is like a warm day with the birds chirping overhead, singing a beautiful song
Like a lighthouse guiding you in the dark night
A beacon of hope, in another otherwise dark ocean, void of emotion

Time is a currency that no one can buy
Yeah, you can buy a time slot for a chuck e cheese childish birthday bash
Or purchase a terribly troublesome Turkish timepiece to maybe help you keep track of it
But you can never buy more time
You can just choose how to spend it
