To Those Impacted
You’re Two Faced.
To mine, yours is false.
It says we are best friends,
That I mean more to you than family.
But in reality, where yours is true,
You tell my friends that we aren’t,
That I mean nothing to you.
It makes me feel as if I were
The nothing that is the meaning of your word.
But this pity party is over.
Surrounding yourself with new friends
Will never erase
The treads of pain you have painted on
My heart with your false face.
And I may be gullible, however,
You continue to hide the truth
Behind a second self.
I know the truth, and I’m warning
All that are under the spell of the false face.
Beware of the Two Face,
Because when you aren’t expecting it,
The truth will drag your heart through mud too.
Leaving nothing but the tire tracks of the past.
Beware, Two Face
Because when you aren’t expecting it,
You’ll find yourself looking in the mirror
At one you don’t recognize.
It is only then that your heart will become
A replica of all those the false has impacted.
Beware of the Two Face,
Because the only way to erase tire tracks
Is by paving a new road.
It is then that the false will tread on new innocents.
Never let the two faced get away with it.
Fight the false.
You are strong.
You deserve the truth.
You look into the mirror,
And see only the truth.
You’re One Faced.
To mine, yours is true.
It says we are best friends,
That i mean more to you than family.
This is reality, and you mean it.
My friends are your friends.
Our party is never over.
Surrounding myself with people like you,
Will never erase
The good times you have painted on
my memory with your true face.
And I may be gullible, however,
You continue to protect me from the false.
Beware of the One Face,
Because when you aren’t expecting it,
Good times will be painted on your memory too.
Leaving nothing but nostalgia.
Beware, One Face
Because when you aren’t expecting it,
You’ll find yourself looking in the mirror
At one you are proud of.
It is only then that your heart will warm
With the memories of the truth you’ve given to others.
Beware of the One Face,
Because they only come once in a Lifetime
And someday,
All of the tire tracks will pave your road
Right to the One
Face

I was inspired to write this piece by stories from my High School. I hope people can relate, whether know someone who is two faced or end up being one themselves.
