The Island of the Affluent MAG
Beyond the pines and by the shore
Lies an Island cut off from the masses.
With golden houses and marble floors,
Luxury sports cars and Gucci sunglasses.
Creatures rule the island, with such deep pockets,
Their hunger shapes them into fearsome
feral beast,
Leased by diamonds and expensive lockets.
On the flesh of the weak and the poor they feast,
Their offspring choke on a polished silver spoon,
Nourished and spoiled by mum and dad’s fund.
“Buy me a pony, a butler, I want the moon!”
“I’d buy your silence and would need no refund!”
Most would embrace the reaper before the island.
Deny the creatures and their selfish habits,
Their reign will end with the new horizon.
Justice will rise and cage all these bandits.
Yet here I stand, with empty pockets,
Haunted by regrets and feeling irate.
A glance in the mirror, I see no goddess,
Only green eyes of envy and a heart full of hate.
