"Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game." -A Cinderella Story

I look at you
I notice
Your wings of color
Still
I think to myself
“How could such a
beautiful butterfly
not be taking flight?”
You keep still
And I silently admire
Watching from afar
Your bold beauty

How come you’re not flying?
Why aren’t your wings spread?
What could possibly have you halted?
Who did this to you?
These questions I ask
I ponder silently
And I watch
I stare
And then I see
You already took flight
But your wings are broken
