Two Girls Perfectly Happy
Two girls perfectly happy
Smiles on their faces, cups in their hands
Trying to block out the world
Like a blanket over a lampshade
The light seeping through the stiches
Two girls perfectly happy
One obsessed with things in her body
Things that makes her smile slide on her face as easily as it slides off
Things that turn her into a junkie of pleasure
Craving every minute for the next fix of happiness
Two girls perfectly happy
The other obsessed with perfection
Gets thoughts of food out of her mind, out of her stomach
And chews her tongue to keep down the cravings
But it is the cravings that consumes her
That steals from her the light that used to reach her eyes
Two girls perfectly happy.
