Lifting weights and getting big
I felt as though I was a twig
Needing size to compensate
with my sadness and that bizz.
My stature and my weight
I never felt that great
with the way that I looked
So the turn that I took
was one that led me to the gym.
I find solitude in what I do here in this safe place
Happiness, you bet it is, what shines upon my face.
Cause when I'm here, I see it clear
What I have to do
But stupidly I get picked on
for being “5’2?”
I’m sad a distressed
You would say that I’m a mess
My mama says I’m blessed.
but we’re poorer than the rest.
Allow me turn the tables and put my eyes on you.
You got the cash, you got flash
and you’re super duper cool.
But without all that, you just fall flat
And look like a damn fool.
So bring it on, I'll stand strong and only better from your hate
Cause soon one day
you’ll look at me and see that I am
Great!
