Salty oceans
Drifting the sorrows
Swallowing them whole
Repenting hasty judgement calls
But how could you swallow
What doesn’t belong…
How could you begin
To consume what burns your soul
And tears your throat to shreds
Coursing through your veins
As you swallow those pills
Gastric suction emptying
What foolish wastes are consumed
Depressing calls from those who love
Creating desire to be loved by you
