Education
Our education system is built for a single mind
Ignoring the fact that each mind is one of a kind
They expect fish to climb trees
The give us grades based in the “perfect” mind using A’s, B’s, and C’s
Our thoughts are all trapped in our minds
They treat our minds like a window and shut the blinds
They tell us to speak our thoughts
But we can’t because they shut them away with a lock
A light bulb comes on in all of our heads
We want the break the lock and let our thoughts spread
Our conscience continually screams at us
“Let me out or I’m going to bust!”
In the end, it’s ultimately your choice
Stay silent or speak your voice
It’s time to start letting fish swim
And let monkeys swing from limbs
