Frost Falls Down on a Summer's Town MAG
Frost falls down on a summer’s town
The wave that saves
The sound is found
Snow on the sea
It’s silence to me
How much sun does the ocean really see?
You can smell the salt
You can sense the halt
You can see the sand
As it ends the land
Chased by the sun
On a midnight run
But how many sunsets ’til the sun’s done?
The sun and stars
So far apart
If they could only reach
For the other’s heart
The stars can’t reach
They look to the beach
The waves reflect glimmer
The glimmer reflects each
Cause when the good all goes away
It’s very rare that someone stays
The waves stay, they have no choice
The sand can’t speak, it has no voice
Material can be replaced
But you can’t replace unknown space
And the town that was alive
Not too long ago
Has been replaced by a prairie
Filled with winter snow
Dreaming of sun
Through the freezing rain
Frost falls down on a summer town’s plain
The moon looks bright
In the canvas of night
The wind on my skin
Feels like Satan’s sin
And as the white falls
I can see the black call
Why build a whole town for a season so small?
You still smell the salt
But there’s an obvious halt
Where you see the sand
As it ends the land
Chased by the moon
It all ended too soon
How many night shadows ’til we reach June?
The moon and stars
They rarely part
But they never see
The sunshine’s start
The moon can’t stand
So he looks to the sand
The sand reflects light
The light reflects land
All the good has gone away
It truly shows that no one stays
The waves do stay, but they have no choice
The sand can’t speak, ’cause it has no voice
Material can be replaced
But you can’t replace this unknown space
And the town that was alive
Not too long ago
Is now a victim of winter
And its frozen glow
The water isn’t blue
And the grass isn’t green
Frost falls down on a summer town’s plain scene
