High school

I watch as the life fades from his face
his hands shake uncontrollably
he keeps telling me stories
stories from when he was my ages
saying high school is the best time of you're life
i sat there at 14
and thought to myself
is this really the best time of my life
waking up early every morning
sitting in class hours at a time
i now sit here almost four years later
fear of the real world
pressure of college
wishing i could stay in high school four more years
