Insomnia
Sleep slowly manipulates her sanity,
fabricating fearful dreams,
resulting in restlessness and dismal self-esteem.
Morning repeatedly reveals reality,
exposing her lingering loneliness,
she struggles to suppress her battered brokenness.
Dreary days endlessly drag,
while her thoughts constantly race,
hiding everything behind a straight face.
