Where the World Ends MAG
Who would’ve guessed,
The End of the World would be so beautiful?
Rocks
Of all shapes and sizes,
Creating a bridge that leads nowhere.
Waves
Dancing in the space of the ocean,
Only to crash on the rocky shore.
Air
Crisp and Cool,
Too strong to be a breeze
But not quite a wind.
Jellyfish
Shades of pink and yellow,
Oblivious to the rest of the world
Because they have been given their own.
What an ominous name
For such an extraordinary place.
If I spread my arms and jump,
I think I might fly.
I might just soar
Soar across the never-ending ocean before me.
It flows on and on
For miles and miles.
It looks like you’d just fall right off.
Maybe you do?
Maybe it all does just end?
Maybe
Just maybe,
It’s the world’s best kept secret.
Maybe
That’s why they call this place
The End of the World.
This poem is inspired by a place that I visited once a long time ago when I was really young. The name of this place, when translated from Norwegian to English, is The End of the World.
