Waiting for Bad News

Damn, I hate waiting for bad news.
You know it’s coming.
You just don’t know how hard it’s gonna hit.
A playful push
Or something that’s going to smack you
into your next life
Honestly
No matter how much we prep ourselves
We can never stay still
We get off balance in
obedience to physics
Sometimes we fall to the ground after being pushed
But that’s okay
Because we learn how to get up again
Damn, I hate waiting for bad news
How hard is it gonna hit me?
