I want to live inside a painting
if only for a little while
to dance in hues of gold and crimson
to see a sky layered with blue
I want to live inside a painting
to see the beauty never changing
to see the livestock always grazing
to live inside a stanstill beauty
would be incredible indeed
yet a standstill beauty is still standstill
dogs never bark
people never speak
Yes, to live inside a painting would be quite a lonely feat
