Ode to Library
Silence falls
upon these hollowed halls
soft chatter,
and the clicking of computers,
a sacred place to come and read
"After all this time?"
"Always."
The library is a place to read,
but it's also so much more than that.
It's...
A place where we become
tributes,
half-bloods,
witches,
wizards,
trolls,
heros,
villains,
Dauntless,
dectectives,
mystical creatures,
lovers,
Twi-hards,
nerds,
members of fellowships
and companies alike,
and anyone we choose to be.
A place where we
take off the jackets
and wear them as our own.
A place with the most friendly people
welcome fellow readers in
with bright smiles,
and advice on good books to read.
A place where "As you wish"
and "Okay"
means "I love you".
A place where not everyone
who wanders is lost.
A place where you can
come back
over and over again
without fear of judgement.
A place to meet new
and old friends.
A place to find a book,
a new world,
a new perspective.
