The moon connecting me and you

Seems so gleeful yet so gloomy too

We meet twice a week at an ASA
You smile,
we talk,
I’m joyful
more than words can say.

You get me up when I’m in low spirits
Even when my friends all think I’m bother
You pull me along and shower me with your smile
Oh, your face is like an angel,
so blessed, beyond description

However, we’re always so close yet  so far
Five steps seem like thousands of miles apart
It’s mad lovely talking to you,
but then sadly,
we all know the truth.

You’ll book a plane ticket and
fly to the other side of the world.
Nothing else awaits you but luxury and gold.
Because you are wise, young, captivating,
Oh, so glamorous, kind, and intelligent.

I would be willing to cast everything aside
Fly a thousand miles to where you are
And lie next to you,
pick you up when you are feeling droopy,
do everything to put that frown upside down.

I do not want to reside in this cycle of emptiness
when you are off going to your fantasy.
Everything in the world goes against us
The natural laws, the society and the abyss of reality.

You see… I just don’t want to let go so easily.
To let you slip through my fingers,
when your alluring feeling still lingers.
It pains me to know,
that after three more weeks,
I have to let go…

You’ll meet new people at your new school
and will be part of the group that’s called “cool”,
because I know people will love you.
Your personality, your kindness, your talents,
Oh, there are no words to describe how angelic you are.

You were the first person who became my purpose,
my only savior in this corrupted world where I am alone.
Under the silent dark night, you shone bright and I fell for you.
You were the light reaching out to me from within the sky,
You were the only kite leading me out of these darkness nights.

But there are times when stars will have to disappear,
Even when they’ve always shone the brightest,
It will have to come to a time,
When the light fades away.

Every time I try to reach for you,
I fall, doing my best effort grasping thin air.
And no matter how many times I
Look at the sky wishing to start over again,
Meet you once more,
Make a better first impression,
Reach a little further if only I knew you were going away.
And then the fairytale ends like that.
Just like the moon and the star,
So close yet a horizon afar,
Our two fates cannot intertwine,
Because I know I can never make you mine.
