I wanted to try something new.
I had a husband and two kids.
My husband: funny, attractive, and insightful.
But it didn’t work; I hated it.
The letter-writing, the long-distance relationship.
People shouldn’t live like this.
I suddenly had plans for leaving this miserable situation.
I was a woman with a secret; a fallen victim.
I realized I wanted something else.
It wasn’t him I wanted,
it was the idea of him.
Our novel was fiction and
it was over.
