The Poet's Frenzy

On hot summer days
With nothing to do,
And on lonely nights
When sleep evades me,
My mind grows restless,
A slave to my heart.
It forms words
That are impossible to contain.
I write them down
In a maddening frenzy,
Feeling my heart lighten
With every word,
Every thought,
Every feeling expressed.
