Cyprus MAG
When I look at the way the ocean moves,
my heart beats in my ears.
sometimes I feel like Aphrodite,
because I was born from sea foam.
and each time the tides touch my toes,
a shiver goes up my spine,
and goose bumps trace the places you used to hold me.
My lungs are filled with water
but it feels easier to breathe.
and the last time I felt steady
I was tangled up in you.
but now as my feet sink into the sand
so does your ghost.
and I’m only left with the desire to be whole again.
I wrote after experiencing a heart break.
