What doesn't kill you simply makes you stranger.

It's never felt this real before:
Every word I write is true,
But they still don't do justice to the joy you bring me.
Nothing I can write can explain just how much I crave your touch.
I listen to you speak as though the words are liquid gold,
I watch your unsteady hands that I wish I could hold.
But I can't,
Not quite yet.
But one day I hope to be enough for you;
I hope I can bring you the joy that your smile brings me.
I want us to waste time together as though we have eternity,
Not just the hours in crowded streets of our home.
I want us to take our feelings to all continents,
To show the world how love can be.
One day we will.
And I don't know how my mother would feel about me putting all my faith
Into one man;
I rest my future on your decisions.
And sometimes I think that I should reconsider falling deeper for you,
But the deeper I get,
The more alive I feel.
And man,
I have never felt so real.
