Graveyard of Dreams
January 30, 2016
I’m sailing through a vast, endless sea,
Of broken hearts and empty dreams;
Where once children’s laughter reigned,
Now renders nothing but discord and pain.
All of these dreams, once filled with devotion,
Left in a desert void of any emotion,
Soon they will wither and rot ‘til they die;
They’re the empty shells of a child’s white lie.
It’s hard to imagine such a solemn place,
Where there are no dreams for a child to chase,
Yet everyone, someday will end up in this sea,
Where lurks the shadows of their dreams to be free.
