Lungs
One half on top the other--
Losing pink quickly,
expanding, contracting, expanding.
Intestines
The longest pathway of the body--
The driest coil of flesh
watched by a hawk-faced god.
Stomach
Nourishing, until again--
A flattened sac filled,
with a jackal-headed god.
Liver
What’s left--
Blessed by the hands of a god,
a human face, wide-eyed.
