My vision blurs
I listen to your favorite songs

I thought I flushed you out
with droplets of freedom
so why do I find these things
so endearing

I try not to think about it
but I think about you more

Do you wonder when we’ll see each other?
Grocery aisle, eyes on the milk
tiles building walls between us
I don’t like you in negative light

I’m the girl you knew that summer
and I’m a tinted window

The lights in this room are telling me something
I see the dust float around your head
Reflections, no absorptions
And I wish you knew the light I saw in you
Brighter than the lights in this tinted window room
