You Know, The Worst Kind Of Parasite Is Mankind

Forced to give him
what he wants,
hungry 
while she’s being
starved of happiness.

A mental parasite
eats away at his mind.
Meanwhile, he’s
the parasite
that eats away
at her life.

Turn up the radio
to block out his words.
They echo in her mind,
taking away her only paradise.

He’s scratching at the rash
of his mental state.
A sick little head
filled with aggression

By now,
he knows her body
like an explorer
knows a map.
But his words
still leave her more lost
than a first-time hiker
on a winding path.
