Honest Testimony to my Love
May I ask for your love?
So that I may write of how
Your eyes are beautiful literature
And your lips are your signatue?
May I ask for a kiss?
So that dawn may unfold under
Such an intimate embrace
And you may witness my
Unquantitative love for you?
Is it too much to ask for a dance
Under the stars, in the meadow
Where we first met, your hand cluthing mine
Not to restrain me, but to be my companion
Through heaven and through hell?
Am I too bold to say that physics breaks,
The flow of time halts, and light freezes
When we are together, because together,
We are tangible infinity?
This is my testimony
My innocent confession,
On why my love
Has never waned
During the course of fourteen months
And my explanation on why I have tripped
And had fallen
In love with you.
