Life
I stopped to pick up the bagel
Rolling away in the wind,
Annoyed with myself for having dropped it
As if it were important.
Though, many small things
are important in life.
Family, friends you’ll never lose.
They’re always there, no matter what.
When you need some help, or vice versa.
You get sick of them, they of you,
But in the end it doesn’t matter.
Friends, family that grows.
The “informal cousins” per se.
The material of stories to retell.
The ones to laugh at,
And the ones to laugh with.
Life:
That which puts you to the test,
Of knowledge, strength and the rest.
That which throws you to and fro,
Though may also put you right where you wanted
All along.
Life has many ups and downs,
From getting your license to putting down
your dog,
And even small things
Like dropping your bagel.

This poem is about how life has many small components that all fit together in different ways. Keep in mind the copy paste broke the special spacing in it.
