Silver Lining

There is something beautiful
in the way she curls into herself.
Like a flower that has been in the dark too long.

There is dignity
In the way she rises each morning from her bed
pushing against the voices that scream at her to stay down,
to sleep,
to give up.

Deep inside her broken spirit
there is quiet
A forest of dark green,
where even the animals fall silent
when the light filters through.

Beauty can be created,
even in darkness.

"Never Give Up"

I really enjoyed this poem and think you have a lot of talent. I just wanted more details in the stanza about the girl being like a flower.
