The days are cold, nights and mornings colder
January, crunch on krill
February, feed on fish
March, snack on squid
April, one–hundred mile journey to rookery
May, reproduction occurs
June, nurture eggs
July, keep eggs warm
August, hatching eggs
September, feeding chicks
October, feeding, stay warm
November, chicks form waddles to stay warm
December, ice breaks away, new journeys begin
A new raft of penguins swim away
