Loosing is Winning

She looked side to side,
Not a sould was near by,
Everyone else,
Was behind...
She was winning the race,
A smile spread across her face,
The look of a victor's grace.
This set her on fire,
And fuelled,
Her greatest desire...
As she reached the line,
Of a winner's pride,
She realized,
They were never behind...
She lost the race,
Again a disgrace.
But she never quit,
So she won that race.
