As The Last Second Ticks Away

Trapped in school
All I can think about is the second I am released
The second I am allowed to cross from one plane to an entirely new one
A plane where I am free
Relinquished from the chains of school
Breaking free from the set curriculum
As the last second ticks away
Released from a year of imprisonment
Allowed to do what I want
For the next few months
To be whoever I want
For the next quarter of the year
As the last second ticks away
I am free.
