Can't Go Back
There once once a camp that towered over others
With fun games and activities to do with my brother
Cabins and roommates so we have some fun
This place with so many memories
With so much fun and laughter
With time passing like a breeze
Oh so shortly after
the counselors were great with many activities planned
later after cantine we would go play in the sand
I would be at the shallow end scared of sinking
while watching the other at the deep end having so much fun
this lovely camp had got me thinking
there are so many things I could have done
the words I said is why I can never go back
even though what i said wasn’t truly a fact
It wasn’t to hurt anybody i just wanted to stay
that’s why next time I talk I have to watch what I say
I can’t go back and all those activities are fading
the dusty cabins the great food is what i’ll really miss
the arts and crafts the face paint and the coloring book shading
now im gone off into the sunset trying not to forget this place exists
