If I was a praying person
(which i'm not mind you,
   prayer brings nothing but emptiness
   and sadness to my old soul)
If i was a praying person,
I would pray for you.

Or, more accurately, I would
pray to you. I would pray to
your hands and your eyes.

I would pray on my knees
with elbows and fingertips
touching the ground my forehead
flush with the dirt you just walked on.

I would pray for you heart to always
be kind but your judgement strong.

I would pray for you to always
want me, always want me, want me
around, around you.
       (because i'm selfish)

Never leave me.
       (get out get away)
