We will Remember you
I never met you,
Never heard you laugh,
Never saw you smile,
Never hugged your shoulders,
But I know you,
I know you from the way they cry,
I know you from the feeling we all have,
I know you from the silence of the crowd,
In this community,
You will be missed,
We knew you were here,
We feel that you are gone,
In this community,
You won’t just disappear,
We will all weep for you,
Wish you were still there,
In this community,
You become friends in a round,
Strangers hug strangers,
United we stand,
You left early,
Didn’t get to finish your round,
You were interrupted,
We’ll take over now.

This poem is dedicated to a girl who sadly pasted away. She was part of another school's debate team but the entire Speech and Debate Community will miss her.
