App on App off MAG
What if there was an app
That could read your mind, be your mind
Enter – flash, the lights have turned on, but how?
It’s the development of the smartbulb,
Synced to your brain
Wake up, on
Snooze button, you wish
Romance, dim
Sleep, off
Let’s watch TV, click, your favorite show.
It’s too cold, click, thermostat on.
Here comes the heat.
Let’s chill, lava lamp roils
Come home, the app knows
Perfect app? Yes and no
Worth a shot? Maybe
Maybe brains and apps should stay separate
Or one day there will be no difference
Writing poetry was not what I ever thought I would be doing--until this school year, when with urging from my advisor and teacher I decided to try out a Creative Writing course at my school, Seattle Academy. I was hesitant at first because I had never written poetry before, but my curiosity got the best of me and I enrolled. Doing so was definitely the right choice. For me writing poetry really makes my mind work on a different level than any other course I take. I enjoyed this change of pace and I hope to continue writing poetry in the future.
