Transparent
You think you’re so great.
You think...I think you’re so great.
Oh! How I loathe my fate.
That fateful day I met you.
Captivating Compelling you.
Filled to the brim with alluring wonders.
Like a luminous glare you blinded me.
With those cunning ways and infectious craze.
I thought I was looking at the sun.
But you can only stare at the sun for so long.
That smile doesn’t reach your eyes.
Your are not happy for me, are you?
Oh my angelic friend, you cannot hide.
I aren’t so naive and you aren’t so fine.
For I can see through your veil, it’s wearing quite thin.
And those confident deceptions, where do I begin?
Oh and all the others,
They are far too blinded to see,
You for who you are,
Green with envy.
It’s all coming clear,
Your literal desires.
Don’t play with me dear,
For water slays fire.
It’s all become so limpid,
Your consequences so dire.
I know what you are,
A Treacherous Liar.

“People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.”
