you told me to trust you at 2:17AM.
i do, okay?
i would walk over a sheet of cracked ice for you if you said
“just trust me”
followed by a sigh
and the wink of a blind eye.
you told me that when you turned 17
we would do great things.
like get high while listening to pink floyd.
“we’d also have a car”
you said.
although we never quite drove off campus
to find a place to compare skin.
