They’ve been with you
Through your whole life…
Just watching
Judging
Pointing out every single mistake
Every single flaw
They know you more than anyone
Sometimes better than you could ever know yourself
They’ve raised you
Molded you
Yet they still HATE their creation!
They point out  the scars you’ve made
The anxiety you’ve had
Every imperfection
And they LAUGH at the tears you shed
When you’re on your knees begging for it all to end!
They stand there, looking down on you
You look back up in their proud face
As you lay there.
You lay there in a pool of your own blood
Wishing you could just be beautiful.
You could never be the girl they want you to be
“Your hair is to short”
“Stay away from her, she has scars”
“What happened to her skin?”
“Whats wrong with her face”
Yes you look up
And you stare.
You stare into the exact thing that has created you.
You, a vile creature
“You are disgusting!”
The words are burned into your head in the exact same pain as your heart
Your eyes
Your soul
And now your skin
“Why can’t I… Just be beautiful?”
