She decided to free herself, dance into the wind, create a new language. And birds fluttered around her writing "yes" into the sky.

I sat there watching that dark cloud move in
Not knowing what to write
The birds were flying away
Not knowing where to go
It was moving in dark and fast
Over the hills and coming at us
I sat there in the class room watching it
Not knowing when it would get here
The trees had started to blow in the wind
And no one else seemed to notice the darkness coming at us
They all just sat there typing away
Then it lightened up
It wasn't as dark anymore
But I knew it wasn’t gone
Then we heard it
The thunder cracked
But the rain did not start
I knew that it was coming
Everyone else looked up for a second and then went back to work
All in sync like someone was controlling their minds
Why were they all so dead to the world
No one feels any more
No one laughs
No one cries
No one even knows the difference between happiness and sadness
It hurts me just to look at the world
Knowing that no one else sees it the way I do
They see it as something in our way
I see it as something that we have and need to respect
Then the rain starts
It is pounding against the windows
Hitting the roof like they were in a fight
No one seems to notice
Because whatever is on the screen in front of them is so much more important
Then what is going on around them
What are they even doing on there computers
We were all suppose to be writing down how to stop flooding
But for some reason I don’t think they are doing that
I know I am not
But then again I am different from them
I look over the shoulder of the girl on my right
It looks like she is writing in some kind of code
Like someone programed their brains to do all their workAll the work that our government is suppose to do
Our teacher never asks us to write about our feelings
It is always something that the government should be figuring out
The teacher is walking over here now
What do I do all I have written is a sentence
It’s not in code or whatever everyone else is writing in
She is standing over me now
Hitting me with her teaching stick
Which one day I decided to tell her was a yard stick
I got sent to the dungeon for that
Just like I am about to now
She hits me one more time
Then points at the door that leads to the dungeon
She points with her long and ugly fingers
That have these very pointy, red nails on top of them
I get up and walk to the door
She follows me all the way to the dungeon
Which is normal
Usually she yells at me when we get there
But this time she doesn’t
She just locks me in the tiny room
It is stuffy in here and there are probably rats
Not like I really care
It is better then sitting in that classroom with a whole bunch of brainwashed kids
I am just sitting there on the old hay that has been in here for who knows how long
I can hear the rain on the roof
And it sounds like there are elephants up there it is so loud
And then a piece of the celling falls in
Now the rain is poring in
I need to fix the celling but I know there is someone watching me
But I can’t let them see
Around here they don’t like kids to use there brains
So they try to take them away
Make us all conform
They can not take mine though
So far they have not figured out a way to make me stop using mine
I am in this room so much it is like my second home
I know every nook and cranny
I climb up the wall were the security camera is and turn it off
When I do this they always seem to think I am trying to escape and breaking the camera
I don’t need to waist time breaking it when I can just turn it off
I have hidden some tools in here so that I can fix things that breaks
I have to wait a little bit before I can get to work
Because someone is going to come in to make sure I’m still here
They don’t want a child with a brain running around telling people what they have done to us
All though I think they have taken away the brains of the adults to
They don’t have to be as scared of the adults as they are of the children
The children are the future rulers of the nation
They don’t want children to second guess the way they do things
It’s too late though because I already have
Just like always the same man comes in to check on me
He always yells
You better be in there and you better not have broken the camera
Of course I am in here and the camera is still in tacked
Once he sees that he leaves
Locks the door behind him
And walks away
Now I can get to work fixing the celling
As I am fixing the ceiling I start to think about how the government controls the people
Then I remember we have a school trip to the government building next week
I have to act really dumb that day
Go with the rest of the class on the trip
As I am working on the celling I go through all the details in my head
Once I am in the building I can break away from the group
There is only one problem
That building is filled with cameras
I am going to have to figure out how to hack into the security system
I don’t know how that is going to work
I have a week to figure it out
In a week all our nations secrets will come tumbling to the ground
