Your pearls of wisdom, Your stories of old,
The nighttime tales and so much more,
Your changing avatars for what  I need,
And unconditional love for my hearts peace.

The tides of time, frame wrinkles on your forehead
White locks in raven hair glisten with age,
A look of sheer serenity that your face so holds
Is a façade, For your heart beams with youth.

Your memory engraved in my heart
Let live for as long as heart beats,
Your blood within my veins does flow
Making me your living memory.

Tender words that slipped your lips
comforted grief, melted the cold within,
Your hands outstretched for those in need
A mirror of your kind generous soul.

Grandma, you are one of the lamps that guide
You are one of the stars that inspire,
You are wisdom and strong will, you are strength and you are love
You are the paradigm of piety and beauty that words do no justice.

I lost my Grandma to Cancer a couple of years back. But the wound is still there.

We had a chapter in English about Grandmothers and the tears welled up. Its a way of dealing with pain. Remebering her and reliving her memory.
